How the Vēmos Ban Network Works Across Venues
The Vēmos Ban Network connects venues within the same city radius, helping protect your establishment from guests who've caused problems elsewhere.
How it works: When a venue bans a guest, that ban is shared across the network with other venues in the same city radius. If that guest is later scanned at a different venue, staff will be alerted immediately — the scan result will show the reason for the ban, but not which venue placed it. This protects the reporting venue from potential retaliation.
If a guest is banned at both venues — meaning your venue placed its own ban on that guest, and a nearby venue also banned them independently — you'll see two flags on the scan result: one for your internal ban, and one for the nearby ban from the network.
Note: Each venue can only lift the ban it placed. If a guest has both an internal ban and a nearby ban, removing your internal ban only clears your flag — the nearby ban will still show until the other venue lifts theirs.
📞 Guests Asking Which Venue Banned Them?
Direct them to banlist@vemos.io or 877-388-7872 — our team can look into it on their behalf. Venue identities aren't shared directly with guests.
