How to Create a Limited Menu for a Table or Section in Vēmos Pay
Menu filters let you control which menu categories and items guests see based on where they're seated. This is useful for venues that want to show a limited or tailored menu to a specific section or table — for example, a rooftop bar that only serves cocktails and small plates.
How to Create a Limited Menu Filter
- Log in to your Vēmos dashboard at dashboard.vemos.io
- Click Point-of-Sale in the left-hand navigation
- Click Menu Setup
- Click Menu Filter
- Click + New to create a new filter
- In the Categories field, select the menu category or categories you want to show
- In the Sections field, select the section(s) where this menu should appear
- Click Save Changes
Need to Limit to a Specific Table?
If you want the filter to apply to a specific table rather than an entire section:
- Click the Areas field and select the specific table
- Click Save Changes
- You can also do this in the Floor Plan section of settings under the specific table settings
Note: Do not select an Area if you want the menu to show to the entire section — leave the Areas field empty in that case.
