Scanning IDs with Your Vemos Pro Sled

Step 1 — Log In

Open the Vemos app and log in to your account.

Step 2 — Scan a U.S. License, State ID, or Military ID

There are two ways to activate the infrared scanner:

  • Tap the ID icon on the device screen
  • Press either of the medium-sized side buttons marked with the [ | ] icon

Important: Always point the infrared sensor at the barcode on the back of the ID.

Step 3 — Scan a Passport or Passport Card

  1. Switch to Passport Mode — the camera will activate automatically. If it doesn't, tap Scan Document.
  2. Align the passport or passport card within the camera view and capture the code along the bottom of the document.
  3. In low-light conditions, tap the light icon in the bottom-left corner while the camera is active to turn on the flash.

Troubleshooting: If the camera isn't reading the passport, try adjusting the angle or your lighting. Glare is the most common cause of capture issues.
